Published Belgrade taxi tariffs in 2026 start at 320 RSD, followed by 105 RSD per kilometre during the day or 135 RSD per kilometre at night. Waiting is charged separately at 1,800 RSD per hour. The final metered fare depends on distance, traffic, route and tariff period.

You can usually order a taxi by calling a local dispatch number, using a taxi company's app where available, or taking a vehicle from an official taxi rank. taxi.co.rs lists direct company contacts; it does not dispatch vehicles or collect a booking fee. At Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, use the official taxi information point and follow the current airport procedure before entering a vehicle. Travel to central Belgrade commonly takes 25–40 minutes, but traffic can extend the journey. Avoid unsolicited drivers and confirm the destination, fare procedure and payment options before departure.

Many taxi companies in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Leskovac operate 24 hours a day. A separate night tariff may apply, and the start time differs by city and local regulation. Check the relevant city page or ask the dispatcher which tariff applies, especially on public holidays and for early-morning airport journeys.

Use a vehicle with a clearly displayed TAXI roof sign, local registration and company or vehicle identification. The applicable tariff should be visible and the taximeter should be used where local rules require it. At airports and stations, use official ranks or a company you contacted directly, and request a receipt after the ride.

Card payment is available in some taxis, but it is not universal across Serbia. Ask the dispatcher for a vehicle with a card terminal and confirm accepted cards before the taxi arrives.
